Campaign for Unmetered Telecommunications |
News
|
At the time of writing, eight European countries are holding coordinated 'Internet strikes' on 31 January: Belgium, Greece, France, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Spain and Switzerland. Germany has decided to suspend action, but keep their campaign active, after the announcement of unmetered access there; The Netherlands and Hungary have just joined in; we are concentrating on our summer event but, of course, fully support the 31 January event and have done a lot of the coordination for it. The telecom.eu site, which brings the various campaigns together, is run by us and is being improved - the new version is now online - and we also run a mailing list for campaigners to discuss the issues. There are currently representatives from fourteen countries subscribing to the list.
