Our second AGM is on Sunday 9 April 2000 at 4pm. The location is The Irish Club, 7 Lyall Street, London SW1 (nearest stations Victoria and Sloane Square). By far the most important part of the AGM is the (re-)election of Committee members. Two of the existing Committee members (Alastair Scott and Erol Ziya) are standing down: nominations for the four elected Committee posts closed last Sunday and those standing are:
Moderator: Charlie Sands There is a motion to co-opt onto the Committee:
Technical Officer: Nick Mailer There are a number of other motions for debate, both from the Committee and from individual Members. If you are not currently a Member, you can vote if you turn up at the door and pay your membership fee or if you sign up online before Sunday afternoon; this is not normal AGM procedure, but the meeting is so important everyone who wants to contribute must be able to do so. We plan to have a live audio feed and IRC question and answer session for Members, although we cannot guarantee their availability as our sole link from the Irish Club to the outside world is a standard telephone line. The proceedings will be professionally recorded by a broadcast engineer.
