Campaign for Unmetered Telecommunications |

The United Kingdom media often depicts Scandinavia as a telecommunications Utopia. This is certainly plausible concerning mobile telephony - do you have a Nokia or Ericsson handset? - but land telephony appears to be a problem. Up until now the European campaigners had not heard much from the Nordic lands; all this changed with an Internet boycott being announced in Sweden and Finland for this weekend (4 and 5 December) by bojkott.org. It has the unique, and curiously pragmatic, feature of a break in the middle so that those taking part can download email. The Campaign for Unmetered Telecommunications strongly supports the boycott and wishes the organisers and participants every success.
